Helen Perrott

      Helen Perrott, 90, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at the Park Place Long Term Care Unit in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Jerry Kelly officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, with an Eastern Star service at 6:30 p.m. and the family present until 8:30 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or Park Place Long Term Care Unit.

      Mrs. Perrott was born Dec. 31, 1910, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of George W. and Lizzie Metcalf Wright. She married Edward H. Perrott on May 18, 1929, in LaGrange, Ill., who preceded her in death on March 19, 1979. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant and New London Chapter 440 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a homemaker and worked for Sylvania Electric in Burlington for 12 years and for the E.A. Hayes Insurance Agency in Mt. Pleasant for ten years.

      Survivors include one son, Lee and Helen Perrott of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Brenda and Michael Kerr of Conover, N.C.; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Earl Wright, and a son, Edward W. Perrott.
