Helen Polacheck (nee Falk) passed away peacefully on June 20, 2019 at the age of 91. Helen was born in Washington, Iowa, the second of four sisters, and moved to Milwaukee to become a physical education teacher at Whitefish Bay High School. She met husband Donald on a blind date, and they spent the next 65 years together, sharing a love of skiing, sailing, and their daughters Joan, Janet, and Laura. She asked that there be no funeral service but enjoying a hot fudge sundae in her memory would have made her smile. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to COA Youth and Family Centers (where she was a past president), 909 E North Ave., Milkwaukee, WI 53212; or to the charity of your choice.
