Henry Beachy

KALONA - Henry Beachy, 91, of Kalona, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, in Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, in the Kalona Mennonite Church in Kalona with the Rev. Scott Swartzendruber officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Memorials may be made to the Kalona Mennonite Church or the Iowa City Hospice.

      Mr. Beachy was born July 3, 1916 in Kokomo, Ind., the son of Menno and Mary (Troyer) Beachy. He married Alma Slabach on March 8, 1941 in Middlebury, Ind.
