Henry C. Boecker, 87, of Mount Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at the Veterans Medical Center in Iowa City.

Henry was born on December 7, 1933, in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Harry and Maude (Simmons) Boecker. Henry served his country in the United States Marine Corps and received his honorable discharged in 1957. He was united in marriage to Rosalie Rossell on August 21, 1955. Henry worked for Chem Grow of Hillsboro until he retired. He was a Chemical Rep going from farm to farm to do soil analysis. He was an avid St Louis Cardinal fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Henry was a member of the Salem Congregational Church in Salem.

Henry is survived by his wife Rosalie of Mt. Pleasant, his children, Dennis (Tasha) Boecker of Brighton and Derek (Reann) Boecker of New London, his grandchildren, Van, Sky, John, Charlie, Lisa, Jason, Isaac, Alicia, Blake and Brooke, 19 great-grandchildren, and his brother, Bernard Boecker of New London.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Salem Congregational Church in Salem with Pastor Aaron Helterbran officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors conducted by the Henry County Honor Guard will be in the Salem East Cemetery in Salem. The family will receive friends from 10 until service time on Friday at the church. A memorial has been established to the Salem Congregational Church in his memory.
