Henry 'Ham' Jackson Hamilton

      Henry "Ham" Jackson Hamilton, 82, of Washington, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, in the Washington County Hospital following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, march 27, in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday in the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Interment with military honors conducted by the Henry County Honor Guard will take place in the Forest Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. Memorials may be made to the Washington Care Center.

      Mr. Hamilton was born Sept. 6, 1925, in Washington County, the son of Ralph E. and Anna (Reeves) Hamilton. He married Bina Louise Davis in Washington. She preceded him in death. He later lived with his long time companion Margaret Ackles until her death in 1983.
