Hilda Marie Blum

    Hilda Marie Blum, 86, of Washington, died Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, in the Brownlee Care Center in Washington, following declining health.

    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Diana Lovett and the Rev. Marilyn Coffman officiating.  Burial will be in the Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona.  Visitation began at noon today at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.   Memorials may be designated for the English River Church of the Brethren in South English.

    Mrs. Blum was born May 11, 1923, in Wellman, the daughter of Henry Jerome and Effie Belle (White) Graf.  She married Clarence William Blum on Sept. 18, 1946, in Wellman.
