Holly Sue Glisan, 53, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020, due to a sudden illness.

A graveside service and interment will be held at

11 a.m. Thursday, June 11, at Elm Grove Cemetery. A general memorial has been established. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be sent for Holly's family through the web at www.jonesfh.com.

Holly was born Oct. 11, 1966, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of William and Colleen (Kerr) Glisan. She attended school in Washington.

Holly lived most of her life in Washington, and previously worked for McCleery Cumming Calendar Factory, Kalona Plastics and ACH and, most recently, worked for various contractors in the area. She enjoyed gardening, horticulture, crafts, mushroom hunting and being outdoors. Holly especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Brison, and her dog, Biggie.

She is survived by her son, Brandon White and wife Amanda of Keota, Iowa; son, Justin Hay of Dubuque, Iowa; daughter, Andrea Hay of Washington, Iowa; grandson, Brison White; siblings, Carla Jasper and husband Dan of Cape Charles, Va., Rick Kindred of Washington, Iowa, Tom Kindred of Washington, Iowa, Brenda Kindred of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, David Kindred of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Julie Walters of Lone Tree, Iowa, Gail Tinnes and husband Dale of Wellman, Iowa, and Shelley Glisan of Washington, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Colleen, in 1998; and her father, William, in 2000.
