Hom Lovan

      WAYLAND - Hom Lovan, 80, of Wayland, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2006 in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

      Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 in the Wayland Mennonite Church with The Rev. Gerry Klopfenstein and the Rev. Pam Unruh officiating. Following the service, the body will be cremated and interred at a later date in North Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Friday in the church with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland is assisting with arrangements. A general memorial has been established.

      Mr. Lovan was born March 27, 1926 in Dien Bien Phu, Vietnam, the son of Yot and La Lovan. He married Yen Baccam on Oct. 10, 1959.
