Howard Dale Deao

      Howard Dale Deao, 53, of Stockport, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at his farm home near Stockport.

      The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31 at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Prickett officiating. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Spencer Cemetery in Stockport. Memorials have been established to ARC or to the family.

      Mr. Deao was born April 30, 1947, the son of Art and Margaret Schrader Deao. He married Marlyn Keck. Later he married Connie Adams Nov. 23, 1984 at the First Lutheran Church in Fairfield. He had lived in the Stockport area since 1971. He worked at the Iowa Ordinance Plant in Middletown in his early years and was a foundry employee at the Dexter Company for over 25 years. He raised and bred paint horses and was a member of the Lockridge Saddle Club and Paint Horses Association.

      Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Kathy Jo Deao of Fairfield; step-mother, Arlene Deao of Stockport; four brothers, Jim Deao of Washington, Bob Deao of Lockridge, Roger Deao of Stockport and Randy Deao of Libertyville; and one sister, Linda Pohren of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his parents.
