Howard Russell Stelton

      Howard Russell Stelton, 76, of Washington died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City after failing in health.

      A Mass of the Resurrection will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Burial with military rites accorded will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Keota. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established for the Halcyon House Good Samaritan Endowment Fund, St. James Church Local Charities Fund or Thailand Missions.
