Hubert E. Jones January 28, 1923 - June 30, 2003

      Hubert E. Jones, 80, of Pittsburg died at 9:10 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2003, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

      The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 3 at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Pittsburg Cemetery. Visitation will begin today at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with family present from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to Van Buren Good Samaritan Center and the family.

      Survivors include his wife; three sons, Robert Jones of Guttenberg, Richard Jones of Fairfield and Michael Jones of Red Wing, Minn.; two daughters, Carol Miksch of Littleton, Colo., and Sharon Ewing of Mt. Pleasant; and 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters, one in infancy.
