Hugh L. Partridge

      Hugh L. Partridge, 89, of Danville, died Monday, July 2, 2007, at Danville Care Center in Danville.

      A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Danville, with the Revs. Preston Van Loon and Harry Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will be in Long Creek Cemetery in rural Danville. Henry County Honor Guard will conduct military rites.

      Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Elliott Chapel in New London, where family will be present from 5-7 p.m.

      Memorials have been established to First Baptist Church of Danville and Danville Fire Department.

      Mr. Partridge was born May 3, 1918, in Dennison, the son of Roy Harper and Edith Newberry Partridge. He married Betty June Edwards Oct. 9, 1948, in Fort Madison. She died Feb. 12, 1996.
