Imogene Roth

Imogene Roth, 94, of Wayland died at 6:20 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2000, at the Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 15, at the Wayland Mennonite Church with the Revs. Steve Good and Carl Klein officiating.

Burial will be in the North Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland. There will be no family visitation.

Memorials may be made to the First Responders of Wayland or the Sunrise Terrace Care Center.

Mrs. Roth was born April 1, 1906, the daughter of Isaac and Edith M. Ross Yount. She married Omer H. Roth on June 12, 1925, in Wayland.

She was a member of the Wayland Mennonite Church and a graduate of Wayland High School. She was a charter member of the Wayland Study Club, active in the women?s society, Delta Alpha Sunday School class, and enjoyed quilting and gardening.

She and her husband owned and operated the Roth Hardware Store in Wayland for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Verlee Miller and Audrey Kauffman, both of Wayland, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two sisters, Vertia Fuller and Helen Hileman.
