Iola Jane Blakley

      Iola Jane Blakley, 84, of Ainsworth, died Friday, May 9, 2008, in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a sudden illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, in the Ainsworth Community Church with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Visitation will begin at noon today in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Oregon Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ainsworth Community Church.

      Mrs. Blakley was born Dec. 22, 1923, in Nichols, the daughter of Francis and Martha (Colwell) Bixby. She married Jack Blakley on April 10, 1943 in Columbus, Kan.
