Iona S. Pilcher

      Iona S. Pilcher, 78, of rural Douds, died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, in the Van Buren County Hospital emergency room in Keosauqua.

      A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Phil Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery.

      Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where family will be present from 6-7:30 p.m.

      Memorials to Leando Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 19395 Route V-64, Douds 52551.

      Mrs. Pilcher was born Aug. 1, 1939, near Douds, the daughter of Charles and Mary Ash Burtlow. She married Dale Pilcher. They divorced.
