Ira Everette Coon
Ira Everette Coon, 95, of Washington, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at Washington County Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Mark Young officiating. Burial will be in Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home, with family present from 7 to 8: 30 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Washington County Public Health.
Mr. Coon was born on Jan. 4, 1908, in Highland Township, to Preserved Lewis and Mary Pearl (Foster) Coon. He married Alta Eunice Himmelreich on Feb. 16, 1931, in Waterloo.
