Irene Bishop Trotter

      Irene Bishop Trotter, 92, of Ainsworth, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, in the Washington County Hospital following a short illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 20, in the Ainsworth Community Center in Ainsworth with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Interment will be in the Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Ainsworth Community Center or Ainsworth Opera House.

      Mrs. Trotter was born Feb. 24, 1916, in Marengo, the daughter of George and Maude (Fiester) Bishop. She married Lawrence H. "Larry" Trotter on July 5, 1942 in the Marengo Methodist Church.
