Irene Brenneman

      Irene Brenneman, 90, formerly of Wayland, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at West Hill Medical Center in West Hill, Calif.

      The graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington with the Rev. Greg Carr of the Winfield Open Bible Church officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington until the time of the graveside service. A general memorial has been established.

      Mrs. Brenneman was born July 1, 1910, in Ainsworth, the daughter of Mathew and Bertha Brown McGraw. She married Elmus Brenneman on Nov. 24, 1927, in Wellman. She attended school in Ainsworth, and later assisted her husband in farming in Wellman, Winfield, Mt. Union, and the Wayland area. She moved to California in 1990 to be with her family.

      Survivors include two sons, Richard and Betty Brenneman of Simi Valley, Calif., and David and Lin Brenneman of Redding, Calif.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Dennis, a daughter Bertha, a brother Clarence, and two sisters, Leona and Lucille.
