Irene Forbes
LONE TREE-Irene Forbes, 91, of Lone Tree, died Saturday, March 13, 2004, at Lone Tree Health Care Center, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16, at Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Lone Tree, with Russ Forbes officiating. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery. Following services at the cemetery, a luncheon will be held at the Lone Tree American Legion. Visitation will be today, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
Mrs. Forbes was born on July 16, 1912, in rural Riverside, to William and Grace (Green) Mincer. On Sept. 19, 1931, she married Daris Leo Forbes in Wapello.
