Irene L. Boley

Irene L. Boley, 96, of Route 1, Stockport died at 12:40 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2000, at the Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 23 at the Hillsboro Baptist Church with the Rev. David Doerr and the Rev. Ed Newman officiating. Burial will be in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Memorials may be made to the Hillsboro Baptist Church.

Miss Boley was born July 31, 1903, in rural Stockport, the daughter of John William and Sarah Jane McCracken Boley. Irene lived most of her life in the Stockport community. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant Community High School and was a farm homemaker. She was a member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church.

Survivors include one brother, Dean Boley of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lewis, Nicholas and Mack Boley; three sisters, Ida Bloomquist, Beulah Boley and a twin sister, Norene Boley.
