Irene Ruby Taylor

      WELLMAN - Irene Ruby Taylor, 85, of Wellman, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at Parkview Manor in Wellman, following a lengthy illness.

      Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wellman, followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Gene Carpenter officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5, at Swedish Lutheran Cemetery in Bucklin, Mo., with the Rev. Mark Conyers officiating. A memorial fund has been established for the Wellman Senior Center and the First Baptist Church of Wellman.

      Mrs. Taylor was born Nov. 29, 1918, in Burr Oak, Kan., the daughter of Earl and Nora (Shaffer) Fringer. She married Albert Hane on Feb. 28, 1939, in New Boston, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1959. On Jan. 17, 1981, she married Novie Taylor in Brookfield, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1991.
