Irvan D. Hesseltine

      BRIGHTON-Irvan D. Hesseltine, 89, of Brighton, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004 at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield, following a lengthy illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, at Brighton First Church of God, with the Rev. Rick Zickefoose officiating. Burial will be at Eicher Cemetery, near Wayland. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, with family present from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A memorial has been established for the Brighton Volunteer First Responders and the Brighton First Church of God building fund.

      Mr. Hesseltine was born on Dec. 27, 1914, near Washington, to Albert and Emma (Schantz) Hesseltine. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1931. He married Frieda Woodyard on March 16, 1940, in Burlington.
