Irwin Solomon

      Irwin Solomon, 86, of Fairfield, died Saturday, October 20, at Jefferson County Hospital.

      The funeral service will be at 1:15 pm Tuesday, October 23 at Congregation Beth Shalom, 308 South B Street, Fairfield. Burial will follow at Ottumwa Jewish Cemetery.

      Visitation will be 7-9 pm Monday, October 22 at Behner Funeral Home.

      Mr. Solomon was born June 25, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Abe and Augusta Solomon.

      In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the Pioneer Valley Council BSA, 249 Exchange Street, Chicopee, MA 01013, Congregation Beth Shalom, 308 South B Street, Fairfield, or the Fairfield Public Library.
