ISAAC ALLEN BLACK
Mount Pleasant
Isaac Allen Black, 25, lover of God, lover of men, passed away suddenly from injuries he sustained while exploring a waterfall area on the Island of Kauai in the early morning of December 7, 2021.
Isaac was born on May 5, 1996, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to David Allen Black and Sherri Ann (Nation) Black. He moved with his family back to the family farm east of Wayland, Iowa, when he was in the second grade and graduated WACO High School 2014. Isaac loved to cook and was a cook in an Iowa City restaurant for three years and, most recently, worked in a small butcher shop where he wanted to learn the trade. Isaac touched many lives very deeply with his kindness. Anyone who spent any time with Isaac found very quickly that he truly cared about others and tried to help anyone he could. He was a follower of Jesus and was not ashamed to make that known to the people he came in contact with every day.
Isaac is survived by his parents, David and Sherri Black; his siblings, Austin (Jessica) Bixby, Levi and Gabriel Black and Hannah Black (Patrick Gollhofer); his grandparents, Larry and Dianne Black and Dorothy Nation; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday December 20, 2021, at Victory Fellowship Church in Brighton with Pastor Kevin Schrader officiating. A time of visitation with the family will follow the service. Memorials to be determined later may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 3354 Tulip Avenue, Mount Pleasant, IA 52641. Gould Funeral Home of Brighton is assisting the family.
