J. Claude Miller

      KALONA - J. Claude Miller, 92, of Kalona, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at his home, following a lengthy illness.

      A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 24, at United Christian and Baptist Church in Kalona with the Rev. Rolland Smith officiating. A private burial will be in Sharon Hill Cemetery prior to the service. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23, at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Kalona Library or Kalona First Responders.

      Mr. Miller was born on Oct. 4, 1912, in Tuleta, Texas, to Abner Jay and Mabel E. (Shrock) Miller. On June 16, 1940, he married Maxine Yoder in Wellman.
