Jack H. Conn, 87, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa.

Jack was born June 4, 1933, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, the son of O.B. and Cora (McNamee) Conn. He attended Mt Pleasant High School. In September of 1955, Jack was united in marriage to Phyllis Alcorn in Quincy, Ill. He worked for GE in production for many years before retiring in 1993. Jack was a member of the Burlington Moose Lodge and the Burlington Eagles Club. He enjoyed walking, playing golf and dancing with his partner, Dorothy Boyd (now deceased). And in his last few years, sitting down and reading C.J. Box novels.

Jack is survived by a son, Steve (Patti) Conn of Denver, Colo.; two granddaughters, Erin and Courtney Conn; and two sisters, Joan Williams of Burlington and Marjorie Lloyd of Columbus City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Phyllis, in 1987; two sisters, Shirley Conn and Verna Kester; and four brothers, Lucin, Melborne, Robert and O.B. "Junior" Conn.

According to Jack's wishes, he has been cremated and there will be no services. If interested, charitable donations can be made to Great River Hospice. Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel is caring for Jack and his family. www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
