Jack E. Knerr

    BRIGHTON ? Jack E. Knerr, 75, former of Brighton, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, in the United Presbyterian Home in Washington, following a brief illness.

    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the First Church of God in Brighton with the Rev. Ryan Meader officiating.  Burial will be in Sandy Hook Cemetery near Brighton.  Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.  A memorial fund has been established for the family.

    Mr. Knerr was born June 4, 1934, in Brighton, the son of Roy and Belva V. (Farrier) Knerr.  He married Alvina Crawford.  She preceded him in death.  He married Sandra L. Van Auken on May 22, 1962, in Washington.  She preceded him in death on Aug. 29, 1998.
