Jack L. Hoover February 2, 1928 - November 12, 2003

Jack L. Hoover, 75, of Richland, died at 4:35 a.m. on Nov. 12, 2003, at Washington County Hospital following a lengthy illness.

      The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Packwood Christian Church in Packwood, with the Revs. Harlan Van Voorst and Dean Elmore officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery in Richland. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today at Gould Funeral Home in Fairfield with family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. A memorial has been established.

      Survivors include his wife; three sons, Dave and his wife Linda Hoover of Houstonia, Mo., Bob and his wife Linda Hoover of Mt. Pleasant, and Jerry and his wife Becky Hoover of Richland; 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; a brother, Bob Hoover of Edwards, Mo.; two sisters, Ruth Armstrong of Middletown, and Jean Robinson of Gigharbor, Wash.; four stepdaughters, Judy Bodyk of Oxford, Conn., Carol Gevock of Brighton, Joan Nelson of Camdenton, Mo., and Sherry Pack of Stockport; and 14 stepgrandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.

      In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Julia in infancy and Jessie Kron; and two brothers, Jake and Rudy Hoover.
