Jack Peebler

      Jack Peebler, 86, of Red Bluff, Calif., formerly of Libertyville, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at home in Red Bluff after a brief battle with lung cancer.

      A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Veteran's Hall in Colfax, Calif. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Fell Cemetery in Libertyville. According to Mr. Peebler's wishes, his body has been cremated.

      A memorial has been established to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 1425 Vista Way, Red Bluff, CA 96080.

       Mr. Peebler was born Feb. 20, 1922, in Fairfield, the son of Ellis and Mae Watson Peebler. He married Patricia Bishop Feb.15, 1942, in Las Vegas, Nev.
