Jack Peebler

Jack Peebler, 86, of Red Bluff, Calif., formerly of the Libertyville area, died Thursday, Sept. 11, at his home after a brief battle with lung cancer.

According to his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Veteran's Hall in Colfax, Calif. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Fell Cemetery at Libertyville.

A memorial has been established for St. Elizabeth Hospice, 1425 Vista Way, Red Bluff, CA 96080. Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant is handling the local arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.beattymurphyfh.com.

He was born Feb. 20, 1922, in Fairfield, the son of Ellis and Mae Watson Peebler. On Feb. 15, 1942, he married Patricia Bishop in Las Vegas, Nev.
