Jacqueline Ann Schantz, 55, of West Burlington died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at her home.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, at the Harmony Bible Church with the Rev. Ed Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church Cemetery in Wayland. Friends may call anytime today at the Lunning Chapel. Family will be present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. this evening. A memorial has been established to the Harmony Bible Church.
Mrs. Schantz was born April 20, 1944, in Washington, the daughter of John Dill and Frances R. Wittrig Hulme. She married Leonard D. Schantz on June 9, 1967, in Wayland. She graduated from Wayland High School in 1962. She enrolled in the Nurses Training program at Bethel College in Newton and received her LPN from Davenport Technical College. She was a church choir secretary and librarian. She worked at the Evangelical Free Church Home in Boone and was a member of the Harmony Bible Church.
Survivors include her husband of West Burlington; three daughters, Kristen Bertrand of Champaign, Ill., Karla Hiles of El Paso, Tex., and Karen Friesen of Siloam Springs, Ark.; her father of Washington; three sisters, Joan Swift of Rolling Meadows, Ill., Jalaine Sandberg of Rockford, Ill., and Judy Campbell of Mt. Pleasant; one brother, Howard Hulme of Rockford, Ill.; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother; and one son, Phillip Anthony Schantz.
