James A. Burrows

      KALONA-James A. Burrows, 40, of Albuquerque, formerly of Kalona, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at home, following an apparent heart attack.

      Celebration of life services will be held on Friday, Oct. 3, at 1 p.m., at Church of the Nazarene in Iowa City, with the Rev. Michael Lynch officiating. Military rites will be accorded by Iowa National Guard Unit No. 334 FSB Company B. Burial will be in Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be Thursday, from 2 to 8 p.m., at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, with family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Extended visitation will be on Friday, from 11 a.m., until the time of service, at the church. memorials may be directed to Church of the Nazarene in Iowa City or the National Guard Widows Fund.

      Mr. Burrows was born on Jan. 15, 1963, in Washington, to Wesley and Hazel (Kimes) Burrows. He married Kathy Cullers on May 18, 1988, in Washington.
