James B. Magdefrau August 24, 1924 - March 19, 2004

James Brandt Magdefrau, 80, of Washington, formerly of Wayland, died on Friday, March 19, 2004, at United Presbyterian Home in Washington.

      The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24 at the Wayland Mennonite church with Gerry Klopfenstein and Pam Unruh officiating. Burial will be in the North Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Tuesday, March 23 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland with a Masonic and Eastern Star Service at 7 p.m. Following the service, family will receive friends until 9 p.m. Memorials have been established to the Shriners Hospital Transportation Fund, Hospice of Washington County and the United Presbyterian Home in Washington.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra and her husband Kenneth Bear of Slinas, Calif., and two grandchildren.

      In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
