James E. Crabill

James Edward Crabill, 74, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of New London and Mt. Union, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Visitation will begin at noon Friday, Nov. 7, at Elliott Chapel in New London, with family present from 5 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, at the chapel, with Jim Marshall officiating. Military rites will be presented by the Henry County Honor Guard. His body has been cremated. A private family inurnment will be in Trinity Cemetery, Mt. Union.

A memorial has been established to Hope Haven Development Center of Burlington, Iowa.

He was born May 19, 1934, in LaCrosse, Ill., the son of James and Mildred Thompson Crabill. On June 1, 1957, he married Janice Oberman in Mt. Union.
