James Francis McLaughlin

      James Francis McLaughlin, 72, of Mediapolis, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, at the Great River Medical Center-Klein Center in Burlington.

      Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 4, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dodgeville, with Rev. Gerald Stouvenel officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Church Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until 8 p.m., Friday, at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis, where the family will meet with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorials for the Great River Hospice and the Mediapolis Ambulance Service.

      Mr. McLaughlin was born April 21, 1932, in Burlington to Lawrence Edward and Marie (Mackin) McLaughlin. He married Terese Francine Lietsch, Feb. 4, 1956, in West Burlington.
