James H. May January 3, 1925 - August 22, 2003

      James H. May, 78, of Florissant, Mo., formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died on Friday, Aug. 22, 2003.

      The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Florissant. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Florissant. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Stygar Florissant Chapel in Florissant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Immune Deficiency Foundation, 40 W. Chesapeake Avenue, Suite 308, Towson, MD 21204 or the American Cancer Society, 4207 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108.

      Survivors include his wife, Bernice Strittmatter May; five daughters, Diane and her husband Ron Trantham, Loretta and her husband Tom Nau, Eileen and her husband John Dyall, Monica May, and Melody and her husband Joseph Bennett; three sons, Richard and his wife Karyn May, Paul and his wife Jacquie May and James and his wife Anne May; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; his mother; and four brothers, Howard, Richard, Edward and Donald May.
