James 'Jim' F. Walker

      James "Jim" F. Walker, 74, of Washington, died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at home.

      A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 7, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington, with the Rev. Ed O'Mealia officiating. The body has been cremated. Burial will be at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Harper. Visitation will begin at noon on Thursday, at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A vigil service will be at 7:30, Thursday night, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Washington County, Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, or St. James Catholic Church.

      Mr. Walker was born on Aug. 5, 1929, in New Orleans, La., to Forrest D. and Genevieve (Benda) Walker. On Aug. 5, 1954, he married Mary Lou Bombei in Harper.
