James 'Jim' Lee Telford

      James "Jim" Lee Telford, 76, of Burlington, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007 in New London Nursing and Rehab Center.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6 in West Avenue Baptist Church in Burlington with the Rev. Kirk Bennett officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in rural Washington. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today in Lunning Chapel, Burlington, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the West Avenue Baptist Church Westwood Center.

      Mr. Telford was born Sept. 16, 1930 in rural Ainsworth, the son of Martin and Gwendolyn (Givans) Telford. He married Doris Jean Johnson on Jan. 22, 1950 in Mt. Pleasant.
