James Lee Fort
James Lee Fort, 73, of Washington, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a sudden illness.
Celebration of life services were at 10 a.m. today at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Jim Cluney officiating. His body will be cremated, and burial will be at a later date in the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. A general memorial fund has been established.
Mr. Fort was born Feb. 26, 1937, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of William Emil and Geneva (Lail) Fort. He married Christy Glider on Dec. 27, 1984, in Washington.
