James Neis March 26, 1942 - September 18, 2005

      James L. "Jim" Neis, 63, of Fairfield, died Sept. 18, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

      A mem-orial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. The body will be cremated and burial will be at a later date. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22 at the funeral home, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to The Lord's Cupboard or Noah's Ark in Fairfield, or the Children's Miracle Network.       Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Terri Neis of Dearborn, Mich., Tammy and her husband Jerry Carter of Cedar Rapids, Tracey and her husband Jay Cline of Davenport; a son, Timothy and his wife Rachel Neis of Rome; three grandchildren; a brother, Jon Neis of Ottumwa; and a sister, Janice Wagner of Ottumwa.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Jerry Neis.
