James 'Paul' Hoskins May 8, 1930 - June 9, 2003

James "Paul" Hoskins, 73 of Lone Tree died Monday, June 9, 2003 at his residence following an extended illness.

      Funeral services for Mr. Hoskins will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June13, 2003 at the Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Lone Tree. Mary Johnston will officiate the services. Burial will be in the River Junction Cemetery. Following services a time of fellowship will be held at the Lone Tree Eastside Village. Visitation for Mr. Hoskins will be held today from 4- 7 p.m. at the Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the United Presbyterian Church or Iowa City Hospice.

      Mr. Hoskins was born May 8th, 1930 in Conway, Mo. the son of Raymond W. and Ora K. (Porter) Hoskins. He married Robbie I. Smith in 1948 in Springfield, Mo. Following her death, he was united in marriage to Marilie M. Edwards Cline on September 17th, 1994 in Columbus Junction. Mr. Hoskins farmed in the Lone Tree area and worked for the Ainsworth Co-op and Community Feeds for 22 years. He was currently providing maintenance for the Lone Tree Eastside Village. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Hoskins enjoyed fishing, camping, playing his guitar, spending time playing horseshoes and pool tournaments, but most of all, he dearly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, always willing to lend the helping hand to those who needed it.
