Jan Minarsich September 20, 1920 - August 9, 2005

      Mabel Janet Minarsich, 84, of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005, at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12 at the Trenton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kent Leydens officiating. Burial will be in Green Mound Cemetery. Visitation will began at noon today at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Trenton United Methodist Church or to an organization or charity of the donor's choice.

      Survivors include her husband; a brother, Leroy and his wife Dee Leydens of Mt. Pleasant; four sisters, Ann Jeambey of Des Moines, Patti and her husband Karl Messer of Stockport, Dorothy and her husband Maurice Garmoe of Mt. Pleasant, and Betty Harper of Davenport.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, several brothers and sisters.
