Jane Ann Davis, 78, of Eldon, IA passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon, IA with Pastor Phil Campbell officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and last until the time of service. Memorial contributions in Jane's honor may be directed to Hospice Serving Davis and Wapello Counties or to the Eldon Fire and Rescue (please make check out to the City of Eldon and put Eldon Fire and Rescue in memo line). Jane Ann (Redeker) Davis was born on March 9, 1947, to parents Francis and Ruth (Kupka) Redeker in Washington, IA. Jane grew up in the company of 3 sisters and 1 brother. Jane attended Fairfield High School and would later complete her GED. She would marry the love of her life, Raymond Davis in 1994. Jane worked as a florist most of her life and retired from Edd the Florist in 2016 as Head Designer after many years of dedicated service.
Her love for flowers continued even outside her job through her hobbies which included gardening and spending time outside arranging flowers. Jane also loved to cook and bake and would often use the canned or preserved goods from her garden. Jane truly loved the outdoors, especially fishing. When she found time for herself she would often watch one of her favorite Hallmark movies or take a trip to her favorite casino.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, a son Edward Fritts and two sisters Genevieve Altenhofen and Madeline Redeker.
Left to honor her memory are her husband, Raymond Davis of Eldon, IA; three daughters, Christy Roush of Fairfield, IA, Beth Smith of Eldon, IA, and Cathy (George) Aplara of Fairfield, IA; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; her brother Frank (Karen) Redeker of Fairfield, IA, sister Irene (Tony) Shultz of Lacona, IA, and daughter-in-law Rose Fritts of Libertyville, IA.
