Jane was born February 1, 1955, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, the daughter of Truman and Edna (Unternahrer) Beckler. She graduated from WACO High School in 1973 and was united in marriage to Fred Leichty, November 29, 1974, at Bethel Church.
Jane loved Jesus and others deeply. She was a faithful member of Bethel Church her whole life and was a mentor to many. She operated a daycare in her home for many years prior to her battle with MS. One of her greatest joys was being a mother and grandmother, and investing in her family. Jane was a tremendous prayer warrior and was always attentive to the needs of others. She was an inspiration to many as she approached her many trials with MS over 35 years with grace, strength and joy.
Survivors include her husband, Fred of rural Mt. Pleasant; children, Angela (Chris) Thomas of Louisville, KY; Ryan (Jamie) Leichty of Kohler, WI, and Benjamin (Brooke) Leichty of Wayland, IA; brother, Gerald (Patty) Beckler of Meridian, ID; sisters, Mary (Roger) Stutzman of Buhl, ID, and Elaine (Gordon) Stutzman of Kalispell, MT; 11 grandchildren.
