Janice Carolyn Freyenberger

WAYLAND ? Janice Carolyn Freyenberger, 77, of Wayland, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at her home south of Wayland following a battle with cancer.

    Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in rural Wayland with the Rev. Nathan Luitjens officiating. Private family burial will be held today at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the church. A memorial fund has been established for Water for Life or the Gideons Auxiliary. Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland is handling the arrangements.

    Mrs. Freyenberger was born Dec. 29, 1932, at Archbold, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph Nicholas and Sarah (Short) Roth.  She married Joseph Dean Freyenberger on Oct. 28, 1951, at the Central Mennonite Church in Archbold, Ohio.
