Janice Gwendolyn ?Jan? Hales

Janice Gwendolyn ?Jan? Hales, 80, of Sun City, Ariz., died from complications of Hepatitis C Sunday, July 18, 2010, in Peoria, Ariz.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Douglas Harding officiating. Burial will be in Center Chapel Cemetery, southeast of Keosauqua.

Family visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials to Center Chapel United Methodist Church may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family at 10439 Prairie Hills Circle, Sun City, AZ 85351.

Mrs. Hales was born Nov. 8, 1929, in Poweshiek County, the daughter of John Gaylord and Florence Pease Dempster. She married Charles Eugene ?Gene? Hales Sept. 12, 1948, at Oak Grove Friends Church near Grinnell.
