Janie Meyer

Janie Meyer, 64, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Wayland, died Friday, July 3, 2009, in Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in rural Wayland with the Rev. Bob Hartzler officiating.  Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m.  A general memorial fund has been established.  Beatty Funeral Home in Washington is handling the arrangements.

    Mrs. Meyer was born Nov. 21, 1944, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Joseph and Wanda (Smiddy) Konecki.  She married LeRoy Meyer on June 12, 1966.
