Jasiel Irene Timm was born July 28, 1938, in Williamsburg, Iowa the daughter of Fremont & Irene (Zimmerman) Huedepohl. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Jasiel attended St. Paul Lutheran School through 8th grade, she then attended Hilton Consolidated School in Conroy, graduating in 1956. On April 12, 1958, Jasiel was united in marriage to M. Verne Timm at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She worked alongside Verne on the farm, as well as at Seaton’s Grocery, Carnsforth and Amana Bakery. She was a substitute cook at HLV schools and LIS and she cleaned houses. Jasiel was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Victor. She served as treasurer of the Ladies Aid and secretary of the LWML and was a member of the Red Hats group. She enjoyed quilting, needle point, gardening, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Iowa Hawkeyes and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jasiel died on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg, at the age of 86 years.
She is survived by her sons Paul (Jill) Timm of Victor and Loren (Joleen) Timm of Williamsburg; four grandchildren Aaron (fiancé Julie Buelow) Timm, Ashley (Alan) Cushing, Nicholas (Megan) Timm and Stephanie (Cole Griswold) Timm; great-grandchildren Ava, Adalynn and Aiden Cushing, Bennett, Norah and Beau Timm and Jameson, Laurel and Micah Timm; and a sister-in-law Sharon Huedepohl of Victor. She was preceded by her parents, husband Verne, two brothers Clark & Darwin Huedepohl and a sister Phyllis Fiebelkorn.
Celebration Of Life Services were held at 11 am on Friday, December 13, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Church, rural Victor. Burial followed in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, rural Victor. Visitation was held on Friday, from 9 am until service time at the church. Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Interparish School.
