Jay Hamm

      Jay Hamm, 93, of Mount Pleasant, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant.

      A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Harold Dorsey officiating.

      Open visitation began at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Salem South Cemetery.

      A memorial to Salem South Cemetery has been established.

      Mr. Hamm was born March 15, 1914, in Waterloo, the son of Royal C. and Bessie Adams Hamm. He married Velma Stutzman May 22, 1937, in Memphis, Mo.
