Jay Wilburn

      Jay Wilburn, 78, of Bloomfield, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

      A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bloomfield United Methodist Church in Bloomfield, with the Revs. Kevin Gingerich and Eric Schumacher officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield.

      Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with the family present from 2-4 p.m.

      Memorials have been established to Bloomfield United Methodist Church and the American Cancer Society.

      Mr. Wilburn was born April 22, 1930, in Van Buren County, the son of Evert Ray and Julia Keo Batterson Wilburn. He married Margaurette Aeschliman July 22, 1950, in Bloomfield.
